Catherine Elizabeth Durham was born on February 28, 1931 to Dozier Milner and Ruby Caldwell Milner in Camp Hill, Alabama. She graduated from Tellaposa High School in Camp Hill. After graduating from high school, Catherine attended Alabama State College from 1949-1951 as an A student.
In 1951, Catherine met and married Henry Davis while he was enlisted in the Unites States Army, serving in the Korean War. They began a life together and God blessed this union with 7 children and 28 years of marriage. She accepted Christ while attending a revival in Camp Hill, Alabama. Since coming to know Christ as her Lord and Savior she was on fire for the Lord and endeavored bring up her children in the admonition of the Lord.
Catherine was ordained as a licensed minister from Christian World Center on June 5, 1998. Catherine vowed to serve the Lord and share the Gospel news with others. She loved to pray for others and encourage them to stand firm and keep the faith. Catherine was eager to save souls and bring forth the word of God. During her ministry in Houston, Texas she served faithfully at Power Source Christian Center.
She is now reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death: Dozier Milner; father, Ruby Caldwell Milner, mother; 4 siblings, Doris Lewis, Juanita Cozart-Rodger, David Elroy Milner, Gloria Jean Mitchell; son, Theddeus Fernando Durham; grandchild, Christopher Daunte-Durham.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memory with six daughters, Cassandra Anderson, Helen Bonard, Cynthia LeBlanc (Eurise), Angela Baines, Cathy Durham, Pamela Durham; one brother, James (Sunny) Milner; one sister, Dorothy M. Patterson; twenty grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Robert Anderson, Carolyn Smith (Brandon), LaTricia LeBlanc, Alicia LeBlanc, Christina Baines, William Baines, Jr., Tabitha Baines-Dorby, Caria Peaks (James), Tiffany Lockett (Kris), Shaterrel Briscoe Adams (Jesse), Bianca Julian, Herbert Briscoe, Jayla Smith, Hendrick Durham, Tadrick Tezeno (Kaye), Shaneta Durham, Gary Durham, Ivan Bonard, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
