

Charles Arceneaux Sr. was born to Wilson and Leydia Arceneaux on June 8, 1932, in Cecilia, Louisiana. He was the first-born of nine siblings. His sisters Gertrude Taylor, Ella Mae Amos, Marie Amos, Gertie Papillon who remain with us today. Sister Mary Jane Randall and brothers Arthur Arceneaux and Wilton Arceneaux who he proceeded in death.
In his first marriage to Emma Lou Senegal he had seven children. He was proceeded in death by Joseph Arceneaux, Anna Journet-Stewart, and Deborah Arceneaux. He leaves to mourn Charles Arceneaux Jr, John Lee Arceneaux Sr, Linda Arceneaux, and Shirley Arceneaux, and Trevon Arceneaux who he had in his second marriage to Shirley Byrd and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and family friends.
He loved BBQ-ing, listening to zydeco, and playing the accordion. He was dedicated and worked hard at Southern Pacific for 30 years before retiring, but that didn’t stop him from building his own business as a yard man. In the later years of his life married Freddie Ruth Clickscale and share the rest of their lives together.
A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Friday, February 11, 2022 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
