He always knew how to make you feel better. Miss you grandpa

Grandpa came to Kansas to see us. We miss his voice, his hugs and his humor :) 

She has always adored him and will be sorely missed 

Even though he shouldn’t have been picking his great grand daughter up, he told us he would do as he liked for that baby. 🥰 

Dottie was his best friend. She kept him company after Nana passed away. 

Grandpa loved to tinker, repair or make it faster! Always worked with his hands.

I know with all my heart grandpa is so happy to see his bride again in Heaven. He missed her so much 💓
He spoke about her all the time. He told me this Thanksgiving 2021 “baby your love will continue to grow into something that words won’t be able to explain, you and Charles were made for each other.” It meant so much to me that grandpa felt his grandson is loved the way Nana loved him.
It is hard not to cry when thinking about those hours just a month ago that him and I were able to spend together. I am truly thankful and blessed for those precious hours. 

Grandpa loved spending time with his great grand babies and they adored him.

Grandpa was amazing! He always always treated my like one of his own grandchildren. I loved him and will miss him terribly.

I have known this man since I was a teenager and have learned so much from him. He was not only a mentor and friend but also a second Dad to me.  He was  the shop foreman at a few companies that I worked for during my younger days and like I said he taught me so much. He invited me to his farm where we would bail hay or build fences. Then he would take us fishing. The memories I have are so happy and that is how I will remember (Big Charles) forever. Loving husband and father, mentor to us younger guys and always the protector of the family. I will miss him.
