I'm sad to hear that Chuck passed.
My condolences to the family, his friends, and colleagues. I worked with him for over 23 years. When I started at TCH Security in 2001 Chuck was the only Security Tech we had. He was already an expert in security alarm systems, CCTV,  & door access control and he was very busy but he always had time to answer my questions while I was at the monitoring station. Prior to working at TCH he installed security systems at the Houston PD West Command Station in the late 1980's. Working as a Tech starting in 2004, it was Chuck who trained me. He set the bar very high to the quality of our work and held us to it especially due to the fact the patients at the hospital were children. Over the next 20 years I got to know him pretty well and worked on the Tech Team on many security projects during emergencies, 911, huricanes and pandemics that involved the whole Houston Med.Center. During Covid we worked together in the isolation units troubleshooting air lock doors. Chuck had a hand in designing some of the electronic boards for door access controls. Whatever our security admin. And  departments asked of us we always came through. Chuck had a great since of humor and cared about others. Many times he would bring tamales,donuts, or cookies and share with all of us Techs and the Locksmiths. He turned me on to Alamo Tamales and  we enjoyed walking over to Miller's for burgersHe was a big sports fan. Always talking Oilers, Astros, Rockets, and the Texans. He also loved watching the old TV series Buck Roger's and old movies like The Forbidden Planet. He made sure he went to the Car Show at Reliant every year interested in the futuristic vehicles. Early on on Mondays he would bring me the grocery coupons from his Sunday paper. He'd say you need these your raising kids! I'm so blessed to have known him. I know God led him to TCH for a purpose. Chuck's work and camaraderie there was great. He will be missed. God's speed Chuck to your next adventure!

He was such a positive force and wonderful human being! He will be dearly missed. Until we meet again my friend……

My condolences to Chuck's family and friends, Chuck and I have known each other for the better part of 24 years working at Texas Children's Hospital. We often talked about the latest sports  events passing in the hallways and him getting a new computer :). He truly will be missed.

Chuck was always great and easy to work with.  He knew what he needed to get the job done and always had the right answer.  We will miss him.

I am saddened to hear the passing of such a remarkable individual and former co-worker. Chuck was one of my most instrumental contacts for the security department and always had the answer to anything I had a question about. He did it all with a smile and often some funny relative story. He was truly one of those co-workers that I looked forward to seeing in passing that would light up my day. I hate I never got a chance to get over to the campus to see him in a while, and he will surely be missed. My most humble condolences and prayers go out to his family, teammates at TCH and friends.

I’m very sad to hear of Chuck’s passing. When I started to work at Texas Children’s in 2005 he was already there as the lead technician of the technical team.  He was an excellent technician. I had the pleasure of getting to know him and working with him until I left main campus for West campus.  Even after I left main campus, I reached out to him many times for help. He was always happy to help however he could.  I always enjoyed my interactions with Chuck and considered him a friend. He had a fun “sarcastic” demeanor and was fun to tease back-and-forth with.  I will miss my friend.
