Charles Kimball "Kim" McCreary

Charles Kimball “Kim” McCreary Sr. passed away on August 17, 2010. He was a native Houstonian, born on June 24, 1931 and was the youngest of 6 children. Kim is survived by his wife Pat McCreary; his son CK McCreary, Jr. and his children Trey McCreary, Christopher McCreary and Travis McCreary; his son Mark McCreary and his children Ryan McCreary, Sean McCreary and Katelyn McCreary; his daughter Karen Crawford and husband Steve, and their children Daniel Crawford, Drew Crawford and Rachel Crawford; his step-son Tony Wood, and his children Michael Wood and Derrick Wood; his step-daughter Donna Brandon and husband Brad, and her children Jonathan Sisk and Alexandra Sisk; and his step-daughter Robin Wood- Klein and her children Blakeley Graham and Cade Klein.

Kim touched so many lives in so many ways in the course of his lifetime. He was a proud member of the Texas A&M Class of 1953, and was an avid Fightin’ Texas Aggie football fan (WHOOP!) A successful businessman, Kim was the CEO and past President of Wahlberg-McCreary and Engine Warehouse, Inc. and still enjoyed going into the office. Kim and Pat found a church home at Sugar Land Methodist, and Pastor and friend Marty Nicholas will officiate the services. Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5-7pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home (13001 Katy Freeway, at Eldridge). A memorial service will be held in Kim’s honor at Memorial Oaks on Friday, August 20 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in honor of Kim McCreary may be made to the 12th Man Foundation, PO Box 2800, College Station, TX 77841-2800 or to the charity of one’s choice.
