Charlie was a working friend at Weatherford we had a lot of laughs together we use to argue  and we would play about being racist we use to watch TV together in his work shack I hold Charlie as a very close friend I lost my mom back in 2007 Charlie help me threw that time he told me Cuz we can’t stay here forever it was so true take care Charlie and your family  you’re friend Silm

Greeting to the Rockemore Family,
I am Happy and Sad at the same time. Happy that he has finished his chores here on Earth and Sad that we have lost such a dear Friend in Rock. God is in total control all of the time, in season and out of season. 
 
My wife and I would like you to know that we can feel your pain of such a tremendous lost, however, Rock is in a better place than we are right now. Absent from the body means that he is present with the Lord.

I meet Charlie (ROCK) back in January of 2008, when I came to work at Weatherford.  He showed and taught me a lot about the job that I do now that he once done.  May GOD give you strength to endure this loss of a husband, brother, father and a good friend and coworker.  He will be missed.

Uncle Tank was more than just a relative—he was a second father, a mentor, a life coach, a devoted husband, and a loving brother. From my earliest memories, he was always there for my mother, my brother, and me. Whether we needed help, guidance, or just someone to lean on, Uncle Tank was always willing and ready.
His love for our family—especially for my grandmother Nancy Mae, my mother Birdie Jean, my cousins Andre and Missy, his grandchildren, and his beloved wife Aunt Loretta—was truly boundless. I’ll never forget the day he drove me to my very first high school date or the time he helped us move and fix up my mom’s first home. No matter the challenge, Uncle Tank showed up.
Uncle Tank showed me what it means to be a man. He taught me the importance of loving your mother with all your heart, of standing by your siblings through thick and thin, and of showing up for family no matter what. His life was a lesson in strength, loyalty, and compassion.
Even in his final days, his thoughts were not for himself but for those he loved—his sister, his cousins, and his wife. He wanted us to know how proud he was of each of us, how deeply he loved us. His last words to me were, “Take care and love your mother. Keep the family together—it’s the most important thing we have.”
As we say goodbye to Uncle Tank, let us honor his memory by carrying forward his legacy of love and family. Let us strive to be as generous with our time, as open with our hearts, and as quick with our smiles as he was.
Uncle Tank, thank you—for the love, the laughter, and the countless memories. Your warmth will continue to embrace us. Your wisdom will continue to guide us. And your love will live on in our hearts forever.

Where ya at Rock? Man....I knew you were coming.  I saved you a seat.  Not just any seat, but a seat near the kitchen.  You're gonna like the food up here. 

Man, guess who showed up a few months ago? Yep, Sarge!! Came in here talking noise as usual.  I was so glad to see him. 

If I never told you before, I valued our friendship and it never changed. You really lived up to your name for me. You were "Rock" in many ways.  You were always there. You gave laughs, when needed...  Provided help, when needed...  And just listened, when needed...

I'm grateful for the bond that was formed between us and I still hold those memories with me.

So, settle in.  It's great here! But don't get too comfortable. I'm going to need you to fire up that pit! These boys can't grill like "Rock". 

Well, we can't call Andre' and talk about the game tonight.  Oh well, he'll figure it out.  He thinks he knows everything anyway!! He still thinks Kobe is better than LeBron....

As we say, “See ya later”… I want you to know that the safety and confidence you instilled in me will carry me through this profound grief. I will always remember your infectious laugh and unwavering support. You were more than just a brother but my confidant and my rock. 
You taught me the importance of family and the joy of simple pleasures… like listening to jazz music and fishing! You would always call and check on me saying “What cha doin Big Gul”? “I know yall going out of town so if ya stop by the casino bring some change”.
Your memory will forever be stamped in my heart. Your presence will be missed, but as we know absence from the body, is present with the Lord! Your love will continue to live on through us as we remember the lessons taught and the love shared. Thank you for being my protector, my guide, and the best big brother anyone could ask for.

A Tribute to My Beloved Brother

 

Today, I put my trust and faith in God, my heart is broken, but somewhere in it, I still wear the grief and pain of losing you.  I still hear your laughter, which we often share.  Tank you always wanted to be the oldest, so I let you be.  Your precious words will remain in my heart.  You were the best brother a sister could have.  Your generous spirit will live on in my heart forever.  These are difficult times for me, and God chose you and me, and I know his angels will look over you and me.  You had a special gift that made our lives all the better, and this gift will forever linger in our memories.  With expressions of love and admiration for you, my memory and your legacy are forever etched in my heart.  I love you, Bro, Birdie Jean.

Rest in Peace our friend and classmate. Phillis Wheatley Class of 71. You will be missed by us all. God be with your family during this difficult time.

Charlie Rock was a true friend of mine. He was always full of laughter. Our fishing trips will never be forgotten. Charlie always had everyone around full of laughter. His loving spirit will be missed. Rest my friend Rest!!
