Charlotte Kay Gore was born on August 30, 1960, in Houston, Texas, and will be laid to rest in the same city where her life began. From the beginning, Charlotte carried with her a quiet strength and a unique presence that touched the lives of those around her.
She was the daughter of Leroy Elton Gore and Hazel Dean Gore, and the beloved sister of Cheryl Ann Gore and Terry Allen “Tag” Gore.
Charlotte was a lover of live music, and especially of the artists who made Texas stages shine. She would travel far and wide to hear her favorite musicians—Shake Russell, Dana Cooper, and Michael Hearne whether with family and friends on road trips, or by setting out on her own when no one else could join her. The open Texas highways and small-town venues became part of her story, filled with melodies that moved her heart.
She was also an avid artist, exploring her creative spirit through watercolors, oils, and pottery. Her artistic talent filled her home and became a lasting gift to those she loved, as she shared many of her works with family and friends.
Charlotte deeply valued education. She studied Business Administration at the University of Phoenix, earned her Associate of Arts at Lone Star College, and pursued her love of culture and creativity through Art History studies at the University of Houston.
Charlotte’s life was one of resilience, creativity, and curiosity. Though her journey was not always easy, she met each season with courage, determination, and dignity.
She will be remembered for her strength of spirit, her love of music, art, and learning, and the way she shaped the lives of those around her simply by being herself. Charlotte’s life was both a song and a canvas, and her melody and colors will remain with us forever.
