

Charlotte Wilhelmina "Lottie" Martin Noark was born on the 3rd of March 1920, in Koblenz, Germany, and passed away on Tuesday, the 21st of June 2011. Her dad, Leonard Martin from Plantersville, Texas, was a World War I soldier who met and married her mother, Regina Schmidt in Germany.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, the late Robert Lee Noark, Sr. She is survived by her children, Gerry McElhannon, Robert Lee Noark, Jr. and Michael Noark; and her grandchildren, Marcus McElhannon and his wife Darlene, Shannen Noark, Lee Noark and his wife Diana, and Joey Noark and his wife Lupita, and her daughter-in-law Julie Noark, and 5 great grandchildren.
She was a Member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a former member of the Holy Name Church Altar Society in Houston. Throughout her life she was very active in her communities. She was a Red Cross First Aid Instructor during WW II, a secretary in the Lindale Civic Club, a columnist for the Citizen Newspaper in Houston, secretary of Bayou Vista CB Club, Bayou Vista Alderman, MUD Director and columnist for Bayou Vista Newsviews in the Galveston County Daily News.
She retired from V.A.H. in Houston as a medical transcriber in 1976 after which she and her husband retired and moved to Bayou Vista.
The family desires to thank the wonderful staff of St. Dominic Village Nursing Home for the great care of their mother.
A graveside service and interment is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 25th of June, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7801 Gulf Freeway in Dickinson.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions i Lottie's name be directed to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, at P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC, 20013.
