

Cheri Anne Breaux Holder, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, business-owner, and longtime pillar of the Houston Heights/Garden Oaks community, died in the company of family on Monday, December 26, 2023. She was 81.
Cheri was born in Welsh, LA, on July 10, 1942. Beginning her career as a flight attendant, she travelled the world before settling in Houston in 1976. She took on ownership of End O Pest and Coastal Fumigators in 1988, quickly building it into one of the greater Houston area's most respected providers of pest control solutions. To this day the business remains on W 34th St., with the many employees she always considered family. Cheri was actively involved in the Greater Houston Pest Control Association and the Texas Pest Control Association for many years.
Cheri was a three-time cancer survivor, world traveler, painter and porcelain artist, and provider to several rescued dogs -- known to all for her vivacious spirit and powerful generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mavy Breaux and siblings Rodney, Eula Mae, Jeanie and Roxanne; she is survived by sons Dale Holder(Rebecca) and Ronnie Holder(Kelly), five grandchildren, Beau Holder(Sarah), Haley Holder, Quinn Holder, Annie Caden(Luke) and Mitchell Holder(Kasia), and five great-grandchildren, Kate, Maggie, Elizabeth, Tristan and Charlotte.
Visitation will take place on Wed. Jan 3 from 10am-2pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 W. 34th St., Houston. The funeral ceremony will be held on Thurs. Jan 4 at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima, 3600 Brinkman St., Houston. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to the Houston SPCA.
