It is, indeed, with utmost shock and consternation that I received, this afternoon, the very sad news of Chukwuma Odenigwe's recent untimely demise. While I kept on hoping that it was an unfounded rumour based on nothing else but mere fallacy, the obituary announcement on this site has evidently just confirmed the tragedy as being true. Although, for me, this is still a solemn period, in the course of which I am still grappling with shock and grief over Chukwuma's earthly transition to heavenly rest, yet I consider it imperative to transmit this communication through this online medium. Certainly, it behoves me to share my personal sentiments in this solemn public declaration that I am terribly shocked and deeply saddened to learn about Chukwuma's unexpected passing.

An ever cheerful, fun-loving, charismatic gentleman, Chukwuma was one of the finest Nigerian professional gentlemen of Igbo extraction, whom I could relate to and regard as a trusted, loyal friend; a true ‘buddy.' As such, the news of his demise has, indeed, been a very excruciating personal calamity to me. Nevertheless, while I am presently faced with no other alternative than to resign myself to the divine will of the Almighty God and deal with the reality of Chukwuma's demise, I am also impelled to pray and beseech the Lord Almighty not only to grant a peaceful repose to the soul of this great guy and wonderful brother, but also to grant his bereaved family the peace, fortitude, and stability of which they stand in need at this trying time. Amen.
