Clara Marie DeVries

Clara Marie Winkle DeVries, 82, of Houston TX. went to be with the lord on September 19, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born April 16th, 1931 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Clarence and Clara Winkle. She married Martin C. DeVries on October 25th, 1973 and lived in Houston and Spring TX. She enjoyed the Rockets, reading, gardening and travelling. She is survived by her Brother;Lawrence Winkle and sister Louise Thrall (Dick), her loving husband; Martin C. Devries, Children Bruce W. Johnson (Linda), Chris McCuen (Doug), Pricilla Conoley, Martin DeVries and David DeVries. Grandchildren; Monica Brown (Chris), Jimmy Smith, Rodney Randolph (Kimberly), Brian Johnson, Scott Thames, Jacee Thames, Penny Jones, Whitney Hill (Shane), Destry Conoley (Brittani), Adam Conoley, Skipper Trevathan, Jason DeVries and Dustin DeVries (Sharon) Great-Grandchildren; Joshua Smith (Kayla), Tyler Goebel, Braxton Brown, James Smith, Franci Rose Smith, Carolyn Smith, Kellie Smith, Zachary Randolph, Kayla Randolph, Justin Jones, Austin Jones, Zoe Hill, Eric Hill, Annie Hill, Peyton Smith, Skyler Thames, Tyler DeVries, Colton Conoley. Brother in Law; Harry DeVries (Jeanette), 15 Great-Great Grandchildren, Friends; Gloria Rickman, Irma Beattie, Care Giver; Icela Donaciano and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Daughter; Carolyn Margueriete Randolph and sister; Juanita Winkle.

Services are under the Direction of Pat H Foley & Co. Funeral Directors. A Visitation will begin on Tuesday Septemeber 24th,2013 at 10:00 AM with Funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Garden at Pat H Foley. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale
