Claudette Yvonne Miller was born in Lime Hall, St. Ann Jamaica, to Birdie Walker and Hersel Miller on August 12, 1958. She attended Lime Hall Primary School, Marcus Garvey Secondary School, and Grace Secretarial Business School.
In July 1995, she migrated to the United States with her two daughters, Regina and Marsha Strudwick, and resided in Houston, Texas. Claudette was a God-fearing, Christian woman, who was kind, loving, sociable, free spirited, and hardworking. She was not only a mother to her own children but to others as well. Family and friendship were her biggest priorities.
Claudette was only 58 when she succumbed to cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, brother, and nephew. Claudette is survived by her mother; her two daughters; a grandson on the way; three brothers, four sisters; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Ben Taub hospital for all their support, in her final days.
