Clinton R. (Rudy) Wilkinson was born September 16, 1926 in Mauriceville, TX and died August 18, 2012 in Houston. Rudy was the youngest of twelve children born to William and Mary Wilkinson. He was preceded in death by eleven siblings and a son, Clint. Rudy is survived by his wife, Nelda; three daughters, Shelley Hoyt and husband John, Terry Medina and Holly Pomilla and husband Luke; five grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Messa and wife Laura, Morgan Medina Applegate and husband Chris, Whitney Pomilla, Nathan Medina and Alex Medina and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Madeline Messa.
Rudy loved his family and his church, White Oak Baptist, where he was a member for 56 years and served as an ordained deacon. He served his country in the Navy on Okinawa in WWII.
Visitation will be at Pat H. Foley& Co. from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 with funeral services being held in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley& Co. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery on Eldridge and Katy Freeway following the funeral services.
