Colette Flusche Schultz, beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, passed into the arms of Jesus peacefully at home on January 31, 2021 after a short illness. She was born on November 15, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas.
Preceding her passing are her parents Marcus and Sarah Flusche, her grandparents and infant sister.
Colette is survived by her loving husband John of forty-one years, brothers Mark, Benny and Jay Flusche and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Colette graduated from Incarnate Word High School, Incarnate Word College and Fordham University where she earned a master’s degree in English. She taught high school and college English for many years and retired after 20 years of service with the US Treasury Department.
Colette met her husband John in a Catholic Young Adults group in San Antonio, Texas in 1978. They were married in 1979 and moved to Houston, Texas the following year.
Colette’s life was one of love, faith, family and friends. She lived with honor and respect for doing what was right. She was definitely a play-by-the-rules kind of girl.
