With us for such a brief time, Connor Allen Petersen was born on January 18, 2011 and went to be with God on February 3, 2011. His birth and his time with us before his illness brought great joy to the lives of his parents, family and friends and his untimely departure has left us with great sorrow and grieving.
The hardest concept for a parent to grasp is that our children are not really ours, but instead, they are eternally His. He blesses our life with them, and sometimes, for reasons known only to God Himself, He only needs us to care for them for the briefest of time, and His plan for their life is fulfilled. To us, it matters how long we have them to love. But to God, it matters only that we love them while we have them. Connor was Divinely placed with his family by God, and each of them loved him every minute of his life. That was all God and Connor needed, because love never dies.
