

Curtis Jon Stout, of Kingwood, TX passed away at the age of 77, on September 24, 2021 in hospice care surrounded with love by his family. He was born in Emporia, KS to his loving parents John Ernest Rozelle Stout and Flora Bodine Stout. Curtis, also known as "CJ" grew up and graduated from Burlingame high School then went on to Emporia State College. He joined the Navy and served two tours in Vietnam and was proud of all his military ribbons to include a service medal with a Bronze Star. Curtis had a passion for composing poetry and some of his favorite ones were published. He was an accomplished career man who held executive positions in the airline and freight forwarding industry.
He met the love of his life Anita (Annie) Acfalle Stout from Merizo while stationed in Guam with Continental Airlines. Their first child (Sean) was born in Guam and shortly after got transferred to Florida then Texas where they had their second child (Scott) 4.5 years later. He relocated his family as his career flourished and he traveled the world as a Global Account Manager for Continental Airlines.
Curtis had an infectious personality who evoked lifelong friendships wherever his career took him. He was a loving and dedicated husband of 47 years and an excellent and devoted dad who wanted only the best for his sons and their family.
He loved the quote "children are the rainbow and the grandchildren are the pot of gold". He was a brother who loved and supported unconditionally, an in-law who loved his wife's family as his own. He loved his cousins and friends who kept in touch with him up to the time of his passing.
Curtis is survived by his wife Anita (Annie) Acfalle Stout and their children:

Son- Scott Stout and his children Sean and Scott (Sonny) Stout
Scott's girlfriend Shirley and her children Jordan, Brandon and Krysten
Sister- Venice Hunter and her children (Eric Conn and daughter Ceara and family, Moriah Brown and son Jacob Brown and his daughter, Alea & Brandon Stubblefield and daughters).

Funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
Committal service will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
