

Cynthia Leigh Slebodnik passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 25, 2016. Cindy was born on September 28, 1962 in LaMarque, TX to Glen and Doris Cotter. She is preceded in death by her father Glen Cotter, grandparents John and Vivian Cotter and William and Marie Ragone and adoring father-in-law, Thomas Slebodnik and brother-in-law Jim Hansen. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 26 years Steve Slebodnik and three children, Taylor Sandberg, Ryan and Mandi Slebodnik and adoring granddaughter, Aubree Eve. She is also survived by her loving mother, Doris Cotter of Richmond, TX, her sister, Shelli Kirkham of Richmond, TX, her sons Austin and wife Amanda Bryant, their children Annabelle & Benjamin and Mitchell Bryant; her sister, Susan and husband Lance Stifflemire of Sugar Land, TX, and their children Chase, Ross and Lauren Stifflemire; and her brother, Chris and his wife Jenny Cotter of Bayou Vista, TX, and their children Brooke and Blake Cotter. She is also survived by her loving mother-in-law, Oweitta Slebodnik of Pasadena, TX, sisters in law Lois Wild and her son Alex Orgeron and Lisa Hansen and her sons Shane and Cody Hansen; brother-in-law Gary and wife, Marybel Slebodnik and their daughters Hannah and Sarah Slebodnik.
Cindy loved the Lord and enjoyed many years as a member of Bible Study Fellowship. She also served as a sustainer member of the National Charity League in Katy, TX. Always a devoted mother, she was involved in her children’s activities including swimming, ballet, Cinco Ranch high school wrestling and more recently beamed with pride as Aubree began ballet and soccer. Cindy loved to travel and was fortunate to join her husband on many vacations.
Those who were blessed to know Cindy would say there are not enough hearts like hers in the world. She was there for anyone no matter the circumstances, as an outstanding wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend. Her loving devotion and her generosity of spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016, at Memorial Oaks Funeral and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Epiphany of the Lord, 1530 Norwalk Dr., Katy, TX 77450 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
