Cyntia Gonzalez Olivares

Cyntia Gonzalez Olivares, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was born to Santos H. Gonzalez and Humberto M. Gonzalez on May 8, 1963, in Alice, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Ciro Olivares, Jr., son, Vincent Gutierrez, II, sister, Julia Castaneda and her husband Phillip Casteneda, brother, Oscar Gonzalez, her nephews, Phillip Casteneda, Jr., Joseph Casteneda, Brandon Gonzalez and niece, Hannalori Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Gutierrez, mother and father and brother, Humberto Gonzalez, Jr.

Cyntia was a devoted mother and loving family member.

She faced life with unwavering strength and a compassionate heart. Cyntia enjoyed spending time with loved ones celebrating holidays, birthdays or just playing loteria. She will be remembered for her delicious desserts and famous iced tea but missed for her big smile and caring nature.

A visitation will be held for Cyntia on Friday, August 23, 2024,from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a committal service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale.
