Dan, it has been one year, This has been the toughiest year of our life. With you not here with us, to make us laugh and carry on. Everyday you brought so much joy into everyones life that you were apart of, even to a strangers life, that you would meet daily on the street in your passing.(Mayor of Katy- Dan Farrell)---- Taryn told a story months ago at church on how you gave a homeless man a watch that you had in your truck, Taryn said the man felt and jumped for joy as if he won the lotto. That was the kind of man you were, you made a difference in everyones life no matter what age or race they were.

Dan We have gone through so many stages of grieving this year.

1. Denial - Just not believing what has happen, waking up asking ourselves is this really happening to us. Is this a dream and can we just wake up.

2. Anger - Angry that we are in this situation and having no conrol.

3. The Bargaining Phase -This was the hardiest for the family, Making bargins with God making promises to god. And the What if's! we ask ourselves everyday WHAT IF... What a struggle for the family.

4. Depression, was and is really hard knowing there is nothing that we can do.

And what is to be the final stage of grieving is --

5. ACCEPTANCE, I believe we will never achieve this, for I know this is the stage that you would want your Daughters, Mom & Dad, family and friends to be at, Because I know you are in a much better and beautiful place in life. I know and pray that oneday we acheive this stage, but it is really hard. But if we keep our faith we may achieve this oneday.

I know what you would want for us to do, Is to Be Strong Be Happy, Keep Laughing, Move on, Tell your silly stories that made us laugh and laugh and cry until we could tell no more stories. and enjoy every possible day.

But most of all I know you always prayed for Peace amongiest everyone and the world.

You would be so proud of your daughters they talk about you everyday, but today has been the quiestiest day all year for them.
So I just pray .

It's Hard to think that he is gone. I love Uncle Dan he was my most favorite, I will miss his loud laugh and trimmed mustache. I wish I could say goodbye and give him one last hug, I cant really imagine being at Grandma's house and not seeing him stroll through the door. I have so many wonderful childhood memories with him. I will cherish them always.

I formerly worked with Dick Farrell and Steve Farrell at Honeywell many years ago, and had only spoken to "Disco Dan" on those occasions when there were calls for Dick.  He was always pleasant and funny.  May your memories of him sustain you, and The Grace of God keep & comfort you during this time of loss.

We always could look forward to a warm greeting from Uncle Dan when we came to visit.  He very much loved his nephews Brendan and Ryan & they loved him. Uncle Dan always wanted to play with my boys & have them sit on his lap. Some of our favorite memories are Uncle Dan playing Santa Claus. He was the best!  A completely natural, funny, loving man. We will miss you very much. Our visits just won't be the same without Uncle Dan.

Yesterday I did something very hard in my life, I said farewell to my brother-in-law and one of my best friends. Ron and I are so sad to hear about your loss.  I only knew Dan briefly when he came to visit his dad at Honeywell.  He was a fun guy to know.  We called him Disco Dan.  As parents who have well passed the middle age point, we never expect any of our beloved children to leave this world before us.
God bless Jackie and Dick, and all of his family who obviously loved him.  I know he will be missed by many.

Dan was the nicest, funniest man I ever knew. I will miss his cooking, and his laughter. I will miss his silly nicknames and how he would sing "Michele my bell" to me (even though he knew I didnt like that song, I only rolled my eyes and laugh and tell him only he could sing it to me, because he was Dan.) I know he was all about family and get togethers and most of all he loved his two precious girls. Dan was loved by, and will be missed by many. I always say....'its not goodbye, its see you later' I will see you in heaven my friend.

Farrell Family, my condolenses on Dan's sudden passing.  Dan was a unique individual who will missed by many.  Just know that he is happy and watching over you.  Always remember the joy he brought to your lives. In our infrequent conversations, he would always tell me how special his girls were to him and that he loved them very much. I met dan several years ago, and on that very day it was as if I had known him for 20 years.  He was a great personable guy and we instantly bonded.  We knew the same people and grew up in the same place.  They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and that is one of the main things I had in common with Dan.  I will miss our long conversations and his outgoing personality!  To Dan's Family, talk to him often, he will always be in your hearts when you need him.

I didn't know Dan for very long, but I am very grateful for the time that I did. Dan never met a stranger and always had a smile for his friends. I believe that we are judged by the way that we treat others, and Dan treated everyone like gold. You will be missed buddy!

Taryn speaks everyday about you she says "I LOVE MY DADDY!" HE IS THE BEST!
She and Lauryn will miss your hugs touch and smell Dan, which will never be
forgotten. 

Your last words to me were Take Care Of Yourself, I will take care, and take great care of our daughters Dan, that I promise. Katy will never be the same, with out you. You will always be remembered but never forgotten.

Chardelle and I were saddened to hear of Dan's (The Man) untimely passing at such a young age. He was always a fun loving guy who appreciated all his friends. He will be sorely missed. Our best to Dick and Jackie and the family.
