At the age of 10 Dana was baptized and became a member of the Second Baptist Church of Houston, TX.
Dana grew up closely with her two cousins, Alisha and Ashley becoming known as Dana Dane Fame given to her by her Uncle Robert, from her dance moves (never on beat and always singing songs with her own lyrics to every other word).
Dana was baptized at Second Baptist Church of Houston. Dana had a beautiful smile that would light a room and an infectious hug that could make your worries disappear. Although extremely shy at first, Dana would later overcome that with the help of mom gaining a wealth of friends throughout her life. Graduating from Mayde Creek High School in 2005, she was never distant from the relationships cultivated with besties, Samantha and Ashley. Dana especially enjoyed the annual family vacations thus becoming the family expert on tubing and white-water rafting through the mountains.
On Monday, March 30, 2026 God called for His child, Dana to come home. She is survived by her Mother and Dad, Sonya and Marshall Lundy, Andy Martinez (Husband), three steps sons, Eric, Alex and Josh and Aunt, Yolanda Scott. She is preceded in death by her Grandmothers, Willie Mae Scott and Elizabeth Duncan, Father (John Lee Johnson), Brother (Johnathon Johnson), Grandpa (Gilbert Lundy) and Great Grandmother (Rosetta Nichols).
Dana was truly loved and has a host of family members and friends that will miss her dearly and we will be eternally thankful to You Lord, allowing her to be part of our lives.
Visitations for Dana Scott Martinez will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on April 8, 2026, at 9:00 am, followed by a celebration of her life at 10am, committal immediately afterwards at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery at 11am and a catered reception from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
