Dan lived an eclectic and varied life in several locations in the Western United States ranging from the West Coast to the Rockies, and ultimately, Texas. He was a graduate of the University of Houston and a M.L.A. graduate of Houston Baptist University. Dan’s life philosophy was best described by Micah 6:8 which reads, “He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”. Dan was the only child of Elizabeth Connolly of Myrthyr Tydfill, Wales and Romeo Giusseppi Grieco of New York City, both deceased. He is survived by his lovely wife, Joan; four stepchildren, Beth Pautler(Paul), Leslie Mooney (Terry), Jim Scruby, and Jennifer Brown (Eric); ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on November 2, 2012 at 1:00pm at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77024, with reception following. Interment will be at a later date in Atchison, Kansas. In lieu flowers, donations in Dan’s memory may be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society.
