Daniel graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur in 1971. He received a degree from Lamar University in 1982. In 1976 he was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a Sergeant and later spent 20 years with the Houston Police Department. The last few years you could find him on the golf course, watching old westerns or traveling. Danny was always full of life and passionate about his beliefs. He will be deeply missed as a husband, father, papa and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Morrison of Katy, Daughters Karen Gerth and her husband Roland Gerth of Austin, Melissa Rogers and her husband Tim Rogers of Round Rock, Stepson Aaron Lapetina of Harper. Grandchildren Austin Lapetina, Makenzie Rogers, Peyton Gerth, Colton Gerth, Addison Rogers and Kylie Lapetina. His is also survived by his mother, Earline Morrison.
