

Darla Yvonne Martinez (DeLeon) our beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister, Co-Worker and Friend to many passed away on June 13, 2014. Darla had beaten the odds all her life due to a rare congenital heart disease. She was an employee of Rockwater Energy Solutions Inc., as a Senior Buyer.
Darla loved life and her children Amanda Yvonne Galaviz and Michael Damien Martinez, as well as the special person in her life Richard Perez and his children. She is also survived by her father Danny Joe Deleon and Step Mom Susan Herdler, Mother Sandra Elaine Darley. Sisters Denise Elaine DeLeon Kleiber and Deana Lee Gibson, Lots of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Brother Daryl Lynn Deleon, Grandparents Joe and Emma Deleon, Grandmother Hazel Wilson and Great – Grandparents Paul and Zeferina Martinez and Step Father Richard Darley.
Darla, never let her heart condition stop her from anything she wanted to do. Darla loved going to the movies, the Crawfish Festival, Kemah Boardwalk and the beach, especially with her kids Amanda and Michael
Darla was a world traveler, for her Birthday one year; Michael’s father took her to Europe.They visited England; saw the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and lots of other things in London; then off to Paris, where she took pictures at the Eiffel Tower and many other famous places there. After Paris they went to Rome, she learned that Pizza in Rome is not the same as Pizza here in Houston. Then on to Venice with all its canals, water everywhere and buildings built on top of it. Last but not least they went to Spain and marveled at the beautiful church’s and buildings. Darla has visited New York City on the 4th of July to see the fireworks in Central Park to Los Angles to see the Walk of Fame and
all that Hollywood and Los Angles has to offer.
Richard Perez, that special person in her life would take the Sea Doo out for a spin with her and his children Amanda, Matthew and Camilla. She loved doing things with them also, whether it be going to the beach, resort, movies or just hanging around watching TV or movies.
Darla, loved to shop, Shoes, Shoes and more Shoes, she would always say “you never know when you will need more shoes”. She was always dressed to impress whether it be to go to Wal-Mart, the grocery store or to a special dinner.
Darla loved her music, all kinds from Country to Pop, she loved dancing, going to concerts, and going to comedy clubs…laughter is the best medicine….
Brady, her pup pup, brought her lots of joy and laughter. He always had to sleep with her and would borough under the covers, he would follow her everywhere. He loved his “momma” so much.
