Darrell was born in Midland, Texas on August 19, 1960 to parents James Edward Jones Sr. and Sally Mae Jones. He graduated from Madison High School in Houston, Texas. He attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. He resided in Rosenberg, Texas and was employed as a Patient Advocate for Christus Healthcare and The State of Texas. Darrell loved the lord and at an early age accepted Christ. He was the middle son of 2 children, reared by parents who instilled in all of them the virtues of the love of God, respect for self and others, devotion to family and a strong work ethic. He was very loving and compassionate.
Darrell is survived by his parents James and Pauline Jones of Katy, Texas; siblings Kevin and Joann Jones of Houston, Texas; Ronald Coleman of Houston, Texas; Eddie and Tracy Coleman of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service for Darrell will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.
