Darryl B. Johnson

Darryl B. Johnson, age 80, was born on August 26, 1933, in Minneapolis, MN. He died on January 28 2014 in Houston, TX. Childhood and young adult years were spent on the 5 L ranch in north Zulch, Tx , owned by his aunt and uncle. Through the years, Darryl was active in Luther League, choir and financial teams at church.

He attended Reagan high school and graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor in accounting in 1955. Darryl served his country and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. He was an accountant by profession and a member of Faith Lutheran church in Bellaire, TX. Darryl volunteered for Sharpstown Little League and Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed gardening, his favorite were day lilies. Darryl loved his grandchildren and his clients who were like a second family. He loved his dog, Hunter. The family would like to thank West Houston Medical Center and Vitas Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Darryl is survived by his wife, Frances Johnson. Sons; Allen Johnson and wife Kristin, Karl Johnson; grandchildren, Lauren, Kristi, Erica, Jacob Johnson and many beloved extended family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Bellaire, TX, Rev. Kerry Nelson Presiding on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 12:00 PM.
