It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother Debra “Debbie” Ann Sanderson Carter, who sadly passed away on June 5th, 2025 at the age of 69. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and above all love in abundance. She was born November 7th, 1955, in Houston, Texas to parents Joe Talmadge and Annada Pearl Robinson.
Debbie attended MacArthur High School during which she met and married the father of her two beautiful daughters. They remained married for almost 20 years. Later in life, she met her soul mate and current husband, Philip Carter. She and Philip were married and shared the rest of her life together as one, often calling each other “turtledove”.
She worked hard and played hard. She loved the sun, the beach, and the ocean. She built her own business in promotional sales and was a very successful small business owner for many years. Debbie had the biggest heart and was always full of joy. She never met a stranger and was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Talmadge Robinson and Annada Pearl Robinson, brother Joe Robinson, sisters Trisha Southall and Melanie Powers Robinson, brother-in-law Wayne Curry, and nephews Bradley Coats and Anthony Aulds.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Miller and husband Chris, daughter Tanya Byler and husband Kennen, sisters Sharon Curry and Lisa Anthony Moody, grandchildren Matthew Hohnholt, Meredith Kokkinis, Meagan Gilmore, Kenley Byler, Kasadee Byler, Megan Byler Emerson, and Kylie Byler, great grandchildren Charliegh Pate, Sophie Pate, Maddie Gilmore, Jackson Kokkinis and Hayden Emerson as well as many other beloved relatives.
