Delia Dora Ramirez Rodrigues

Our adored mother, Delia Dora Ramirez Rodrigues, age 90, of Houston, Texas born February 3,1933 was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She grew up in Houston with her large family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters, lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. "Dee" to all who knew her, was a UNIQUE, KIND, LOVING, AND CARING soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was totally dedicated to all her children, and grandchildren in all aspects of their lives.

She began working for Southwestern Bell at the age of 15, unbeknownst to SWB (LOL), and retired after 35 plus years. She went on to receive her Real Estate license and then worked for Macy's part time. Her Catholic faith was strong. She was a long-time member of "Young at Heart" and "Sacred Heart" club of St. Patrick's Church and served faithfully. She was an impeccable seamstress and designed several of her own exquisite dresses and always dressed to a T. She loved to entertain family and friends during the holidays (Christmas her favorite time of the year) dance, laugh, tell a good joke, and always very witty. She loved playing bingo and "SNEAKING OFF" to the casinos. It was evident she embodied the role of MATRIARCH. During family gatherings, she lit up the room and was always the center of attention. Her love of family was second to none, undoubtedly FIERCE.

As a result of her kind generous spirit and pleasant personality she was loved by many. Her legacy will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She had a beautiful smile and a huge hug for everyone, she never met a stranger. She was the epitome of a "LADY".

Dee is survived by her children: Daniel Davis, David Davis and wife Lori Davis, Diane Davis, Raymond Davis, Regina Salinas and husband Rick Salinas. Daughter-in-Laws: Margie Davis, Patricia Bobadilla. 19 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. Sisters: Estella Ramirez Trejo and husband Adolph Trejo, Irma Ramirez Garza, Brother: Everardo Ramirez and wife Teresa, Sister-in-Law: Mary Ramirez

Dee is preceded in passing by her parents: Pedro R. Ramirez and Magarita Sepulveda Ramirez, Husband: Michael Rodrigues, Son: Mark Anthony Davis Great Grandchildren: Hope Guzman and Levi Andrew Murillo, Sister: Virginia Ramirez Garza, Brothers: Humberto Ramirez, Oscar Fernado Ramirez and wife Carmen Ramirez, Ernest Ramirez. A visitation for Delia will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Pat H. Foley, 1200 W. 34th St, Houston, TX 77018. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 a mass service will be held at 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, TX 77009, followed by a committal service at 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
