

Dennis Edward Hardie was born on December 3, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri and went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2021. He was retired from the City of Houston Fire Department as a radio technician, and was in the Civil Defense Office of Emergency Operations Center. He was on the Board of Western Pennsylvania Ohio C.B. Club, and enjoyed researching genealogy. He was a devout member of Riverside Baptist Church for many years and loved his church family as if they were his own family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward James and Elsie Florence Hardie. He was also preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years Carolyn Suzanne Hardie. He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Eugene Hardie, brother-in-law Eugene George Krailo, and son-in-law Keith Scrimshaw.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Laverne Andrews. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Kay Krailo and sister-in-law Sara Hardie. Also survived by his children Veronica Jean Scrimshaw, Russell Carlton and Vicki Ann Hardie, Denise Suzanne and James Elmer Collins, and Kristopher Brian and Barbara Rochelle Hardie.
He is survived by his grandchildren Michelle Reeve and partner Loree Munro, Brian and Brittany Reeve, Jason Reeve, Mickey and Gina Sommerfield, Lori and Scott Schneider, Tina and Hoss Prestwich, Nathan and Misty Collins, Holly and David Wilson, April and Kenneth Carrell, Ethan Hardie, Evan Hardie, and Erin Hardie. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
