My condolences to the Floyd family on the passing of Mr. Floyd.  I worked with Devon and Todd, and had fond memories of Mr. Floyd.  It was a shock to learn of Devon's passing â€“ May Devon rest in peace.

Mrs. Jeannie and entire Floyd family I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Devon. He was a very special man,I will miss our visits at the Dealership terribly. May he rest in peace with the rest of our Angels.

To the Floyd family:  I worked with Devon when he attended outpatient physical therapy at MD Anderson.  His joy and his humor certainly were contagious! He always brought a smile to my day and worked so hard in therapy.

We first met Devon when Fredye took a weekend receptionist job at the Nottingham Country Sales Office where Jeannie was a realtor.  Devon updated the sales list for the office, so he came in from time-to-time.  And somewhere along the way, our daughter, Kristi, and their son, David, met, married and we happily became part of the extended Floyd Family.  

There aren't enough good words to say about Devon or Jeannie.  Devon's life taught all of us about what it means to love someone with all your heart and soul, about loyalty, about fight and determination, about being an all-around good guy and friend.  He was that and more and we will miss him terribly.  

Devon, rest now in peace.  Our bond will never be broken because you will always be with us.  We love you.

Cindy and Larry Williams want to express our sorrow at the loss of Devon. He was a very good man and friend and a great friend of The Palms condos, his home waay from home. He will be missed.

Hearthfelt condolences to you Jeannie, David, Todd and extended Floyd family. I remember Devon as one of the most relaxed, gracious, professional and fun people. He loved that candy bowl, especially the Butterfingers. I will miss him.

Sorry for your loss. Devon will be missed in our community. I always enjoyed speaking to him and could count of his positive and joyous attitude. He also was such a great family man and had such wonderful things to say about you all. You are all in my prayers.

Mr. Devon Floyd  was a great person. I work with him at Texas Commerce Bank / Chase Bank.  He was an inspiration to all and will be miss.  My prayers are with the family.

Devon was my boss as well when I worked at TCB.  He was one of the best managers I had during my 38 years with the bank.  My prayers are with his family.

Growing up with Jr. (and Jack) was entertaining.  Holidays were always so much fun as most of the Floyd men were such comedians and the one with the loudest voice had center stage; frequently it was Jr.  
I will always remember being the little cousin in the back seat driving down the roads of East Texas with him.   Devon you were the big brother I never had and I will miss you so much.

I knew Devon from work at TCB.  I'll always remember the good times we had.

I had the honor of working with Devon at Ford Aerospace in the late 60s.  He was a very positive person and pleasure to be around.  Our most sincere condolences to the extended family.

I always called him Mr. Floyd, it was appropriate and respectful when I was a little kid. As an adult I still called him Mr. Floyd and he always got on to me for it. He would say we are both men now call me Devon. I would say yes sir Mr. Floyd. That just makes me smile:) It was a pleasure to know you Devon! Your friend Jay Kirby

Devon was my boss, my mentor, my friend. I had a great deal of respect for him. He was never at a loss for words and always spoke his mind. You always knew exactly where you stood with Devon. The Floyd family was a part of my past that I will never forget. Mr. Floyd was my band director and Devon and Jack played in the band. Those were wonderful years in a wonderful school with caring teachers who prepared me for life. 

I recently re-connected with Devon on Facebook. He was a happy man with a beautiful, loving family. I know you will miss him so much as I miss my loved ones who have gone on before me.

Fondest memories surface of Devon playing the trombone in the Daingerfield ISD Band. His father, Devon Sr., was the band director. Unfortunately the Floyd family moved away after a few years and I lost track of Devon until 4 years ago. It was good to talk over ol' memories with Devon.

I was very sorry to receive the announcement of his illness.
My prayers have been said.
My condolences go out to his beautiful family that he fondly spoke of. I know that he will be dearly missed, but the fact is he was contented with his maker.
