

Dick Cleveland, faithful husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2011. He left behind his wife, Diane Cleveland, his daughter, Melodie Cleveland, his son Ron Cleveland, brother Markly Keller (Dottie Keller), and grandaughter, Holly Beall. Waiting for him at the gates of Heaven were: his mother, Dorothy Keller, and father, Zilman Cleveland, brothers,George Keller and Ben Keller, stepson, Todd McMichael, and beloved dog, Lady.
Dick was born on May 29, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas. Upon turning 18, he enlisted in the military where he served as Quarter Master, Third Class on U.S.S. Gainer during World War II. After his military service, Dick spent his professional career in the carpet industry.
He enjoyed boating, traveling, golfing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of the American Legion (Missiouri City Post), First United Methodist Church (Missouri City), and The Floor Covering Association.
Dick lived a long and full life and was a great friend to all who knew him. He was there for the invention of Television, cassette tapes, and ipods. He also witnessed historic events such as the Great Depression, the first moon landing, September 11, and the election of the first African American President. Basically he was a witness to great change.
He will be missed tremendously by many. Until we meet again we shall envision him playing a round of golf with golden clubs.
