Divina was born on November 16, 1957 in Santo Tomas, Pampanga in the Philippines. She was a devoted lola, mother, and sister who truly enjoyed her family and friends.
Divina will be remembered for her beauty, quiet strength, kindness and being the socialite she is. She always left the house looking very glamorous. Her outfits were very stylish with the jewelry and purses she loved. She was a natural beauty with the perfect pop of red lipstick. She had a flare for being extra in the best way possible.
With her kindness and infections laugh, Divina made friends wherever she went. Her nurses would often refer to her as “their favorite”. She was a great storyteller and knew how to entertain.
As a lola and a mother, Divina made sure that her children were hardworking, and she led by example. When she immigrated to the United States, she began working at Burger King. Over the years her hard work and ambition paid off, she became a hotel supervisor and received multiple awards.
The most important thing to her was family. She raised her grandchildren Jeslyn & EJ, and even through her sickness, she made sure they had what they needed and that they were loved. She was extremely close to her brothers and sisters, and very involved with her children’s lives. She was always just a phone call away and her door was always open. It was very clear to all that she loved that their success and happiness was her priority. Her children are forever grateful for the opportunities and life that she provided for them.
God has gained another angel, a beautiful soul. Rest in paradise Divina, we love you.
