Dolly Love Ortiz

Dolly Love "Ballew" Ortiz, age 91, passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at The Heights of Tomball in Tomball, Texas. She was born July 25, 1934 in Greenville, South Carolina to Lorena and George Ballew. She is survived by her husband Hector married October 21, 1955 (70 years). She was the proud mother of: Greg (deceased), Janet, Chris, his wife Jina. She was also a loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother to: Jonathan, Angela, his wife, James, Keith, Alex, Allen, Heaven, Kaiya, Haley, Ethan, Aaron, Ella, Ava, Emma, and Cole.

Dolly dedicated her whole life to the service of the Church. She was Hector's constant companion in his service for our Lord and Savior. She loved and adored her family. She was an amazing cook and loved having her home filled with family and friends. She truly could do anything and often did.

A visitation will be held on January 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on January 24, 2026, at 2:15 am.
