

Dolores was born in Dallas, TX, on January 26, 1938, to William Witt ("Mac") and Lorraine Stiles McClain. She attended Highland Park High School and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising. After graduation, she moved to Houston and became a buyer at Foley’s Downtown, where she met the dashing Kenneth ("Ken") Wayne Wise, who worked in the Marketing Research Department. Ken and Dolores were married for 24 beautiful years before his untimely death in 1987.
Dolores faithfully taught children’s Sunday School at Berachah Church for 50 years. She shared Bible stories and led countless children to faith in Jesus. She loved and prayed for everyone she met.
She is remembered as the quintessential hostess and for being genuinely kind and humble.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken, and her parents, Mac and Lorraine McClain.
Her memory will live on through her children: Leslie (Wise) Doyle and son-in-law Mark, Paul Wise, and Bill Wise and daughter-in-law Jill; her grandchildren: Samantha and Sam Aaron, Kenneth and Amber Doyle, Joseph Wise, and Vivian and Elizabeth Wise; and her great-grandchildren: Sammy and Aurora Aaron.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on August 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
