Donna Lee Grizzaffi

Donna was born on March 4, 1953, to Barney M. Byrne and Irene Klaus Paul, and from the start she was a thoughtful, giving soul. She spent her life thinking of others, remembering every birthday, and somehow always finding the perfect gift for every person she loved.

She shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Vincent Grizzaffi, Jr., and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and family. She was the proud mother of Christopher Grizzaffi (Jessica, wife) and Valerie Wilson (Jeff, husband), and the doting grandmother “GG” of Cassidy, Ellie, Logan, Beckett, and Colton - who were truly the lights of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Barney M. Byrne, Jr.  Donna is survived by her sister, Janet Byrne Kervin; her stepsister, Charlotte Paul Yerian; and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply and who held a special place in her heart.

Donna worked for many years in sales, representing gift products with her signature warmth and sincerity, and previously worked with Exxon/Friendswood Development. She also enjoyed traveling and adventure, creating lasting family memories. Her faith as a Roman Catholic guided her daily life and her generous spirit.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her - her family and countless friends who were blessed by her kindness and thoughtfulness.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23rd, in the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home - Cypress Creek. A celebration of life will follow.
