Doris Marie Martinolich Kansteiner

DORIS MARIE MARTINOLICH KANSTEINER died peacefully in Katy, Texas on December 30, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born on December 21, 1927, in Gulfport, MS to Joseph Dominic and Inez Delmas Martinolich, who preceded her in death. Doris is also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Collins (and husband Joseph), Margaret Peranich (and husband George), Agnes Gaddy (and husband Louis) and a brother, Charles Martinolich.

She is survived by husband, Larry Kansteiner, with whom she shared more than 38 years of marriage. She is also survived by a brother, J. D. Martinolich, a sister, Carol Carden (and husband, Charles) and a sister-in-law, Katherine Bennett. Doris leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.

Doris was a graduate of Gulfport High School, Class of 1945. She met and later married Larry Kansteiner in 1977. They were inseparable for the next 38 years and devoted their lives to each other and their families. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her desire to be around her family and her love for life. A devout Catholic her entire life, she was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church from 1977 until her death.

A visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 5356 11th St, Katy, Texas. Graveside services will immediately follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
