

She later met the love of her life Herbert Miley while he served in the United States Navy. He was discharged in January of 1946, and they soon married. They remained loyal companions until his death on August 21, 1979.
In her early years Doris worked at a phone company, Rice Food Market, and Target. She had many talents, from making amazing clothes to creating her beautiful quilts. Doris also had a passion for reading and was known for going to schools to help children learn to read.
Doris will forever be remembered as the strongest woman we know, a wonderful mother and friend- we will miss her deeply.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Miley; children, Lajena Miley and Kenneth Miley.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Marlena Lea, Steve Miley, Jennifer Jenkins, Mary Heaven, Jerri Miley, and Ruby Miley; grandchildren, Jason Armstrong, Sam Lea, Sarah Burres, Cathy Jenkins, Angela Sosa, Lisa Basinger, Mary Lou, Christina Miley, and Joseph Bell; great grandchildren, Abbie, Ivan, Allie, Reid, Rebecca, Nasya, Anaya, Giovanni, Christian, and Desiree; great-great grandchildren, Josie, and Jackie.
Serving as Pallbearers are Jason Armstrong, John Groze, Sam Lea, Ivan Lea, Steve Miley and Larry Jenkins.
