Dorothy (Dottie) May Ferguson, age 80, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born on September 7, 1936 in Denver, Colorado to Anthony and Louise Kooiman. Dottie was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and a friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Henry C. Ferguson; her son, Richard David and his wife Shelley; daughters, Pamela Shumate, Carol Cuva and her husband Ted and her sister, Mary Stewart. She is survived by her grandchildren, Eric David, April Shumate, Alyssa Shumate, Kathleen “Katie” David and fiancé Kevin Bush, Andrew David, Marc Cuva and Jordan Cuva. She is also survived by two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donny Kooiman and brother, Robert Kooiman, as well as the many friends she made throughout her life.
A visitation with family with be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., immediately following visitation.
