Dorothy Gene Turner Fowler Peter was a very special lady and will remain in our hearts forever and ever. She was beautiful being, both inside and out, with a strong mind and generous heart. She rarely met a stranger, even later in life by proof of all who knew and loved her at Park Manor. Her enthusiasm for life and her family was enormous and there wasn’t a thing she would not do to provide for us. She worked very hard her whole life, still thinking of work after she moved to Park Manor, she would complain that they had her working two jobs and then she wouldn’t get paid! With both a German and Indian heritage, she had a temper to boot! You always regretted the days you made her angry and prayed for a quick forgiveness.
There were many people she missed dearly. Her Mom, Maggie, and Dad, John, and the sisters and brothers she had grown up with, Lois, Polly, Birdie, Millie, Thomas, John and Joe. She grieved and missed our Dad, Marvin, and we know she is thrilled to be with him once again.
Mom had a full life. She loved working in her yard and its beauty proved it. She liked to fish and crab and we had many fun times on and in the water. She loved Las Vegas, the casinos and slot machines, she and Arnie were even married in Vegas. Her pets in life were some of her truest loves. Tiney, Maria, Coco and Bitsy lived lives with Mom that anyone would envy, they were her babies and she spoiled them rotten.
While Mom made all of us feel loved, no one could have been loved more by her than her granddaughter, Ryndie. Ryndie was the apple of her eye and Mom felt she was Heaven sent. We are thankful that Alexis and Jackson had the time they had with Mom but just wish they had had more time to know and love her as we did.
We miss Mom, as do Arnie and Aunt Irene and we cherish all that was about her, but we know in our hearts that she is with God in Heaven as one of his newest Angels and is healthy, happy and whole.
