

She was born January 20, 1922 in Houston, Texas to William Joseph Hagner, Sr and Dorothy Stabler Hagner. She and her family moved from San Antonio to Houston when she was 10.
Dorothy graduated from Lamar High School in 1940 where she was in the first class to complete all three years. Dorothy was in the class of "44 at Rice Institute (Rice University)
After raising three children, and being the lead parent while her husband was stationed away on military assignments, she put her time, energy and love into volunteering. She was on various alumni committees at Rice University and Homecoming Chair for her class of "44 numerous times. She was a volunteer for over 30 years at St Luke's Hospital following in her mother's footsteps. Her love for music led her to the Opera where she was part of the Opera Guild and helped establish the gift boutique at the Opera.
She is predeceased by her husband Dennis Sattler, parents Joe and Dorothy Hagner, her brothers Bill and Bud Hagner and her eldest son Steve Sattler.
She is survived by her daughter Holly and son in-law Bill Paull, her son Todd Sattler, and grandsons Todd, Craig (Dabney), Stephen, and Clay. Also by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff of the Pegasus Landing at Tanglewood for their kind care for Ms. Dorothy.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, May 19th at 10:00 am at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
