Douglas Bester, 61, departed from this life on December 28, 2014. Douglas was born October 3, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Raymond and Josephine Bester. During his youth he was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio. He attended St. John’s Catholic High School in Toledo, where he played basketball. After graduation, in 1974, he moved to Houston, Texas. In Texas, he began his restaurant career at Elan restaurant and then to Churrascos; where he remained until his untimely passing.
Douglas was known for his laughter and great sense of humor with family and friends. Whom he enjoyed discussing his topics of interests with; particularly politics, sports, and wine.
Douglas is survived by his two brothers Mike Bester (Margie) of Omaha, Nebraska and Jeffrey Bester of Houston, Texas; three nieces J-len Bester, LaToya Bester and Michelle Bester; and a host of relatives, friends, and colleagues.
