Earline Michelle Pickney

Earline had a love for music and the arts. Before she graduated high school Earline performed in a musical group that sung and performed in the Houston area.

She was united in holy matrimony to Derrick Pickney on July 13, 1996. She stood beside her husband as a proud military wife while he served in the military for 8 years. During that time she was an active member of the military community and volunteered for many of the family support groups, and aided teachers with her children’s classes. Earline always reached out a helping hand to any one in need. She managed to be a great mother and took care of her family all while working as a part time army civilian employee. She was well respected and liked in the military community and by her family.

After her husband medically retired from the service she continued working to help take care of her family until her declining health prevented her from continuing on.

Earline is survived by her loving husband Derrick Pickney of DeRidder, LA; her children Aaron and Raven Pickney of DeRidder, LA and her parents Theresa A. Ardoin of Houston, Texas and Earl R. Williams of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles in the Houston area, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
