Earnestine R. Calhoun

Earnestine R. Calhoun was born in Logansport, Louisiana on January 3, 1944, to the parentage of Foster Rogers and Bessie Mae Turner Rogers, both of whom preceded her in death. It was there that her life’s journey began and where she developed the values of faith, kindness, and resilience that she carried throughout her life.

Mrs. Earnestine Calhoun was a devoted wife to her husband, Robert Calhoun, with whom she shared fifty-eight wonderful years of marriage. She was a loving and proud mother to her children, Donny Sr., who preceded her in death and daughter Vicky (Son-in-law Michael Edwards Sr.)

She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Sha, Michael II, Doniece, Donica and Donny II, and a cherished great-grandmother to Michael III and Morgan.

Those who knew Earnestine will remember her as a woman of warmth, compassion, and quiet strength. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, wisdom, and the genuine care she showed to her family, friends, and everyone around her.

Today we honor and celebrate the life of the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, US, on March 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, US, on March 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, US, on March 14, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
