Eddie Michael Burchfield

Eddie Michael Burchfield, 69, of Houston, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 18, 1950 to Edward and Dorothy (Pat) Burchfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Terry Burchfield and his sister, Carolyn Blevins. He is survived by his wife Margie and their daughter Aimee of Houston, Texas; his sister Sharon Johnson of Richmond, Kentucky, her children Douglas and Amber and grandchildren; his brother-in-law Franklin Blevins and his son Charles Michael (Brother) of Clay City, Kentucky, and daughter Elizabeth of Tomball, Texas; plus many loved ones from Alabama and the surrounding areas.

After graduation from Douglas MacArthur High School, he entered the Houston Fire Academy where he achieved his career rank of Inspector in Fire Prevention. He faithfully served the City of Houston for 43 years which enriched his life with brotherhood. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and especially working in the yard. He loved God and Grace Missionary Baptist Church, and especially his family. They were a loving team of three.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and a Funeral Service with HFD Honor Guard on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Pastors Charles Swilling and Joe Gallegos will officiate services. Pallbearers: Douglas Johnson, Scott Upton, Clifford Boyd, Bill Bivens, Tony Loftin, Chad Chapman.
