Edward Raymond Coats was born on December 10, 1956 in Laurel, Mississippi. He passed away Saturday, November 21, at North Cypress Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Norma Davis Coats and his brother-in-law, Tim Gordy.
Ed is survived by his wife, Susan, and sisters Billie Gordy and Doris Chambers and her husband Ted. He is also survived by children, Matthew and his wife Christina, Hannah and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by Sharon and Philip Green, Tommy Gohmert and numerous nieces and nephews
Ed graduated from Baker High School (LA) and Louisiana Tech University and he was a proud Bulldog. He was a loving father, husband, brother, and uncle. He was an employee of Ernst & Young. He loved all sports, especially the Houston Texans. He was a member of Houston Northwest Church.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2-3 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. All services will take place at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
