Edward Martinez Jr., 66 years old passed away on March 3, 2025. Exactly 11 years after his older sister Martha Alicia Martinez. Edward was born to Eduardo And Martha Martinez on May 11, 1958 and was their first born son.
Edward Graduated from M.B. Smiley High school in 1976. Edward then went on to achieve many great things in his young life such as becoming head of a department and running many crews in his early 20’s. The line of work he was in afforded him the ability to travel the world and experience most of the United States. In his early 30s he finally got to live out his dream as he opened his own environmental company named EFI which he turned into an empire and is now rebranded and still running efficiently to this day. He leaves his legacy behind that he truly created from the ground up in the hands of his only daughter Sabrina Martinez. Edward Retired in 2018 and spent his days either working in his shop on his sacred Volkswagens or spending time with his only grandson Holden. In his free time he enjoyed traveling with his younger brother Richard Martinez as they had great plans to travel the world together.
Anyone that knew Edward knew that he was a family man, his family no matter how big always had his dedicated support and deep love. He was most everyone’s first phone call in a time of need but also everyone’s last text in the evening as the “Goodnight” messages would roll in.
Edward was one of a kind who impacted many lives in his time. Edward is survived by his wife and 4 children: and grandson. He was a cherished Uncle to all his nieces and nephews and a beloved brother to Richard Martinez, Patrcia Martinez, Jesse Martinez and Jerry Martinez. And a remarkable brother in law to all his bonus sisters.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Eduardo Martínez Mariscal and Martha G. Martinez. His older sister Martha Alicia Martinez and his two nieces Leeza Ashley Martinez and Amber Nicole Martinez.
Edward was a force to be reckoned with. His presence was felt in any room he walked in to. His absence will leave a void in many hearts that he touched during his lifetime.
