Edward “Eddie” McRay Schauman Jr., 62, entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2015. He was a native of Humble, Texas, and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1971 and the University of Houston in 1975. Eddie was the General Manager of Eastex Camper Sales, a business owned by the Schauman family, for most of his life and was active in industry associations including serving as President of the Houston RV Dealers Association and the Texas Recreational Vehicle Association. He enjoyed rooting for Houston sports teams, participating in various community and industry associations, and relaxing in the mountains in Colorado.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Ed Schauman Sr. and is survived by his loving mother, Sue Schauman; sister, Debbie Bixby; brother, Paul Schauman; daughters, Anna Schauman and Christina Rode; son-in-law, Darren Rode; and grandsons, Breken Rode and Bane Rode.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, Texas.
