Edward was a United States Army veteran. He had a career as a machinist.
Edward had a passion for his family, fishing and wood-working.
Edward is survived by daughter Susan Hemphill (James Alex Hemphill); and son Edward Tejeda III; sister Hope Guillen, sister Helen Acosta, sister Henrietta Hernandez, sister Hazel Guillen and sister Hilda Gomez; grandson James Edward Hemphill.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Tejeda.
A visitation for Edward will be held Monday, July 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral liturgy will occur Monday, July 19, 2021 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Monday, July 19, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
