

Dyer grew up in Houston, Texas and attended the St. Michael Catholic School, T.H. Rogers Jr High and Robert E. Lee High School, where he made many lifelong friends. After a year at the University of Virginia, Dyer transferred to the University of Texas in Austin, where he received his BBA and MBA. While at Texas, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta and the Silver Spurs.
Dyer was an avid athlete. His two favorite sports were tennis and hiking in the high mountains in Colorado.
Dyer was a Certified Financial Analyst and spent a long career at USAA and Victory Capital Management.
Dyer was preceded in death by his father, John Marcus Greer and his stepfather, A Clark Johnson, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Gerry Dyer Greer, his wife, Kendal Corley Greer, son Daniel Dyer Greer (Mackenzie) and daughter Katherine Greer Greenhill (Luke). In addition, he is survived by his brother, Marc (Jolyn), Sam (Marcy), Jay (Mary Margaret), Matt (Emily), Ulises (Lily), stepsister Elyse Johnson Lyons (Lloyd), aunts Merabeth Dyer, Joan Greer and Margie Camp and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved cousins. Dyer will also be greatly missed by his tennis group at Fair Oaks CC, many of whom were there for him during his illness.
Friends are cordially invited to greet the family during a visitation from two o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon, on Thursday, the 31st of July, in the Cana Ballroom at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 202 W Kronkosky Street in Boerne, Texas.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 4th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
