

Elaine was born June 16, 1934, in Cartersville, GA. to Weyman H. Tucker Jr. and Helen Falks Tucker.
Elaine was raised in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Henry Grady High School and attended Maryville College for one year. After college, Elaine worked for two years at Southern Bell Telephone Company and then began a career as a “Stewardess” for Delta Airlines in 1955. Soon after starting with Delta, Elaine was transferred to Dallas, TX.
In the fall of 1956, Elaine met the love of her life, Jacob Alfred “Jake” Leissner. Elaine and Jake were married on December 28, 1957, in Atlanta, GA. In March of 1958, Elaine and Jake were transferred to Houston TX and settled in the Westbury Square area. In October of 1959, Elaine and Jake’s first child, Luke arrived. One year and 3 weeks later, son number two, Jake, arrived. Ten and one half months later, another son, Lane, arrived and finally, 15 months later, Dad got his little girl and Luanne “LuLu” arrived and that ended the run of kids.
Starting in 1973, the Leissner family joined and were active members of Grace Presbyterian Church where husband Jake, sons Luke and Jake served in leadership. Elaine was a stay-at-home mom until the summer of 1977 when a two week job to fill in for a pregnant lady turned into a great career at Exxon from 1977-2000.
On Valentine’s Day 1994, Elaine’s beloved husband was called Home after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Elaine lived in several location before landing in Eagles Trace in November of 2013
Elaine loved many things in life…. Including, and in the order of importance, her faith, her family, and her friends.
Elaine and her family were devout supporters of Texas A&M University and enjoyed traveling and spending time with Aggie buddies. Elaine also enjoyed La Hacienda Restaurant, country music, Key Lime Pie, playing Mexican Train and cards with her family.
Elaine is proceeded in death by her husband, Jake Leissner, her mother, Helen Falks Tucker, her father, Weyman H. Tucker, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Pamela Lee Leissner.
Elaine is survived by her four children, son Luke Leissner and wife Sherri of Frisco, TX., son Jake Leissner of Magnolia, TX., son Lane Leissner and wife Sharon of Plano, TX., and daughter Luanne “LuLu” Leissner of Houston, TX. Grandchildren Kyle Leissner and wife Stacy of Magnolia, TX., Jennifer Morgan and husband Ky of Cedar City, UT., Amanda Diersen and husband Bobby of Keller, TX., Bethany Leissner of Santa Fe, NM., Gina Albrecht and husband Bryce of McKinney, TX., Jake Leissner and wife Sara of Little Elm, TX. Her sister, Carol Boyd and husband Charles of Troup, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews and 8 great grandchildren.
A 10:00 A.M. graveside service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Ln., Houston, TX 77042.
