

Eleanor Maureen Pundt, 90, of Houston Texas, passed away on March 16, 2025. She was born in Starks, LA on March 22, 1934 to parents Jonathan Larkin Gillis and Pashie Salvania Pool. She met Edwin Pundt in Houston and Married on April 13, 1953.
She had a passion for shopping, gardening, being with family, and singing hymns on the porch. Eleanor was a member of Airline Manor Baptist Church, and had a career in accounting with Texas Battery Company for several years and then went to work with Spencer company before semi-retirement. Eleanor would continue to work at Airline Cunningham Pharmacy as a store clerk, and she would deliver medicine to those who could not get out to pick it up. She worked there for a little over 20 years before full retirement. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, and grandma. She always knew how to make everyone feel at home. She was our glue for the family.
She always knew what to say and when to say it to help us all through tough times.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin W. Pundt Jr.; parents, Jonathan Larkin and Pashie Gillis; along with 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Pundt and wife LueAnn; daughter, Oleta Edwards; grandchildren, Judith Ann Kay and husband James, Christina Pundt, Victoria Pundt, Robert Pundt and wife Jenevie, Anthony Pundt and wife Ashley, Jonathan Pundt and wife Kaylee; great grandchildren, Mackinley and husband Timmy, Mackayla, Jt, Kaydence, Hensley, Aj, Cooper, Bentley, Noah, Tai, and Tommy; great great grandchildren, Eleanor Jude.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Pundt, Anthony Pundt, Jonathan Pundt, Jt Kay, Timmy Stubbs, and Hector Garcia.
